Lomito · ibérico de bellota · 300 g
Lomito ibérico de bellota, cured, 300 g
Lomito is cured presa: the oval, well-marbled muscle at the shoulder end of the loin, two per pig, cured like a small caña de lomo. The label reads lomito ibérico de bellota, so the pig was acorn-finished. One piece of about 300 g from Ricardo Samaniego, €27.39 (September 2026).

How to serve and keep it
Lomito has more fat running through it than cured loin, so it rewards a thin slice and a little warmth. Peel the casing from the end, cut fine rounds and leave them on the plate until they reach room temperature. The Spanish page suggests three ways to eat it: on a board with cheese; next to black or green grapes if you like sweet with salt; or on toasted baguette spread with grated tomato, oregano and olive oil. Keep the rest in the fridge, wrapped, with the cut end covered.
Lomito, in three questions
How is lomito different from caña de lomo?
Caña de lomo is the whole loin: long, lean and even. Lomito comes from the presa, a much smaller muscle with heavier marbling. Where the presa sits is shown on our ibérico pork page.
Does “de bellota” mean the same as on a ham?
Yes: it describes how the pig was finished, on acorns. The label system is explained on the jamón ibérico page.
Is there an allergen list?
If you have a food allergy or intolerance, ask us on WhatsApp for the ingredient and allergen list before you order; it is also printed on the label.
Goes well with
Fresh presa for the grill, from the same part of the pig, the full-length caña de lomo, a goat’s cheese and sliced black-label ham.
